History After Enlistment… Trained at Petawawa Posted for overseas duty February 1944. Served nearly two years in France, Belgium and Germany. Was wounded in France. Served on Occupation duty in Germany after war ended. Sailed for Canada February 1946.

Date of Discharge… April 5th 1946

His wife writes:  “He wouldn’t talk about it, only when asked but he didn’t want to repeat it.”
