Previous Military Experience… None

History After Enlistment… Enlisted in London and was directly posted overseas. Served for a year in Britain and then was assigned to duty in Singapore. The fall of Singapore came before the airmen reached his destination and was posted in India and later saw service in Burma. A member of the ground crew of an  R.A.F. station, he worked in the installation and maintenance service. The R.A.F. Squadron worked in co-ordination with the British 14th Army following up behind the troops.l During this period the air force crews worked under enemy attacks. Promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Sgt. Stacey served with the RAF in India, Burma, Bengal and Asam province. He was reported arriving home in the CDN 5/06/45.
