Enlisted 31/08/1942. The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Snobelen of Harwich Twsp., Kent Co., ON.  The CDN 29/05/44 reported that Tpr. Campbell was engaged to Helen Kathleen Arnold with a marriage in June. John was at Camp Bordon, ON. when he  married Helen Kathleen Arnold. CDN 23/06/44.

History After Enlistment… Served in the Armoured Tank Corps in England, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. Promoted to Lance Corporal.

Date of Discharge… March 7th 1946
