Gunner G. Hillman Snell went overseas with the 67th. University Battery July 12th, 1916, and wast the first in his class to qualify as a Signaller. He proceeded to France in October, 1916, transferring to the 48th. Howitzer Battery. In 1917 he was awarded the Military Medal and advanced to the rank of Bombardier for conspicuous bravery.
