Lieutenant Morice Goldwin Smith trained in London and Petawawa, leaving for overseas April 24th, 1917, in charge of a draft of one hundred and forty Non-commissioned officers, and men of the 63rd. Battery, and two officers. In England he was transferred as an Infantry Officer, warned twice for France, and again transferred to the Artillery, proceeding to France where he served until the end of hostilities.
Discharged May 31st 1919 due to demobilisation
