22/08/17 No. 22 General Hospital – Camiers, GSW, Left Thigh – Middle and GSW to his right thumb, wounded by enemy shell bursting on the road – in Field  26/08/17 at 12 Gen. Hosp. at Rouen, 27/08/17 Convi. Hosp. – Rouen. Transfer to #11 Con. Oih – Buchy. Discharged to Base 19/09/17.

The route of moving an injured soldier through medical  treatment 28/12/17 – 6th Cdn. Field Amb. 31/12/17 Cas. Clearing Serv. #22 , 3/01/18. 3/01/18 – 18th C.C.S. 9/01/18 – arrived at Highang Woodfard Green Hospital, 29/03/17 Woodcute – Epson. 26/12/17 he was treated for Trench fever.  Discharged 15/04/18.

John also fell into the spell of VDG 4/10/18, 15/11/18 and 30/01/19.

1/02/1019 Reported ill – Pneumonia – Witley. Died 3/02/19 at Witley.
