Private Clarence Smith went overseas with the 186th. Battalion March 28th, 1917, proceeding to France June 16th, 1917, transferring to the 18th. Battalion. He suffered from blood poisoning in the ankle and was admitted to Hospital in France, and later sent to the rest camp.
