The son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Slater of 86 King St., Wallaceburg.  The brother of Reginald ‘Reggie’, Maurice and Trevor. The WN 23/03/44 reported that O/S. Slater was serving overseas on ‘active duty’.  The WN (date unknown) (P) was reported home on leave after six months serving in the Mediterranian aboard HMCS Albernie, which saw a lot of action and which he would be returning too after his leave.
