There is some confusion on this fatality, the CWGC shows 189666 as Pte. Clifford Thomas Shoebottom but the Roll of Honour for the CEF has Stanley Robert Died of Wounds? Clifford Thomas has a regimental number of 156 / 90842? JRH.
The family has reported that Stanley Robert Shoebottom is an alias. His real name is Thomas Clifford Shoebottom. We will keep his name as we know him as Stanley Robert Shoebottom. We hope this clarifies.
