Private Shaw went overseas with the 33rd battalion arriving in England June 30, 1915.
He proceeded to France the first week of August attached to the 1st battalion.
He was wounded in the hip and thigh at Messines, Nov. 29 and was admitted to Beaven Hospital, Kent, England, Dec. 3, 1915,
He returned to France about the end of April 1916 and receuved a gunshot wound in the arm Sept. 15. After three weeks at the Base Hospital he returned to his unit.
While raiding enemy trenches on the night of Apr. 3, 1917, he was again wounded and died at No. 42 Casualty Clearing Station, France, April 5, 1917.
