N of K: Mary Bell Shaw (sister) of 206 Richmond St., Chatham, ON. A single farmer living in Kent Bridge, Kent Co., ON. Attestation: 6/03/1916 at Chatham, ON. to 186^th Bn., his name does not appear on the Nominal Roll of the 186^th that went to England on the S.S. Lapland that departed Halifax28/03/1917, although family history reports him going in March of 1917. It is reported that Robert joined the 4^th Reserve Bn. in England as an MP (Provost Corp).

Robert passed away 29/03/1923 and is buried in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham, ON
