Born 15/04/1918 in Dresden ON. The son of Joseph and Maude Shaw. Lorne enlisted in the army 13/03/1943, trained at Camp Borden and served in Nova Scotia and British Columbia.

 DT 6/04/44 Stationed at Camp Borden. Married he was reported spending two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shaw of Dresden, ON. DT 27/07/44.

In September of 1944 Lorne was on leave from Camp Borden to visit his parents. DT 28/09/44

Discharged July 11, 1946

Lorne passed away in 1994. He did not serve overseas.
