The son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shaw of 311 St. Clair Street, Chatham.  He attended CCI, in Chatham, ON.

Enlisted 27/09/41 and served as a Medic in Halifax and overseas at Goose Bay, Labrador at No. 23 Canadian General Hospital.

Trained at London, Peterborough, Camp Borden, Stratford and then posted overseas. The CDN 25/10/44 reported that he was serving overseas with Canadian forces.  Served two and a half years overseas. He served 2 ½ years in England as a Medical Orderly.

Date of Discharge: July 20th 1946
