Born 26/12/24 in Turro, England. The son of Thomas John and Florence May Sedgman, of 186 Forest, St., Chatham, ON.; the brother Alfred T. A49582. Husband of  Dorothy. Lionel was 18 months old when his family moved to Canada.   Served in England and Europe.

Enlisted in London, ON, at the age of 19 years old. He trained at Toronto and Malton. He graduated as a navigator  on the 6th of Apr. 1944 at which time he was commissioned. CDN July, 1944(P
