Born 3/06/26 at Thamesville, ON. The son of Orville and Irene Gibson, they had two other children Betty and Robert E. (RCEME – 4th Brigade). The family were reported to be related to Laura Secord.

Bill enlisted in the RCNVR 17/08/44 in Chatham, though he most likely attested at HMCS Hunter in Windsor. He trained at HMCS Hunter, Provost, Protector Acadia and finally at HMCS Cornwallis in Halifax. William was discharged from the Navy at Halifax 14/11/45.

He would marry Miriam Anderson and they had a daughter Lyndee.

William Gibson passed away 6/06/1981 and is buried at Howard Road – Botany Cemetery, Howard Twsp. Kent Co.
