Born in Chatham, ON., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Seaton who lived at 36 Scane St. Chatham, ON. He had two brothers and two sisters still at home. Attended the city schools. Prior to his enlistment Harold worked at the Ontario Steel Corp.
Harold enlisted at HMCS Hunter in Windsor, ON. on his eighteenth birthday, receiving most of his training at HMCS Cornwallis in Nova Scotia before going overseas where he arrived in February 1944. CDN 19/02/44
Served overseas one and a half years on a Torpedo Boat. Wounded in action on the French Coast July 1944.
