Born in 1918 in Chatham, ON., (native of Tilbury), the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Schram of Barthe St., Chatham, ON., the brother of Pursele and Thomas, who were also serving in France. Married to Dorothy (Lamieaux), they had two sons and were residing in Tilbury.
Enlisted in Windsor 3/02/43 in No. 1 District. The CDN 16/09/43 reported that Pte . R. O. Schram had arrived overseas. Raymond served in France since D-Day, where he was wounded in both legs on 26 August 1944 from a shrapnel burst. CDN 12/09/44(P)
Raymond was reported returning to Canada aboard the Queen Elizabeth. CDN 17/11/45(P)
