His wife and family lived on Selkirk St., Chatham. He joined the 2nd Heavy Anti-Aircraft battery in 1941 and had been serving in England, The CDN 20/05/44 reported that he was declared physically unfit for overseas service and was given time to regain his strength. He was awaiting orders from the Military District.
