Private Francis P. Sambell went overseas with the 186th. Battalion March 26th, 1917, and was appointed B.F. and P.T. Instructor at Bramshott. Six months later he was taken ill and admitted to Bramshott Field Hospital, and was granted his return to Canada from Buxton in October, 1917. He was stationed at London Militia Hospital about one month, then transferred to Guelph, where he received his discharge.
Private Francis P. Sambell was given his honorable discharge February 21st, 1918, being unfit for further military service.
