Lieutenant Ross was from Wheatley. He served with Hamilton Light Infantry during WW2 [wounded in France] and the Essex-Scottish reserve after the war. He was a past president of the Wheatley Legion and Legion Zone Commander. He served as the Wheatley Postmaster for many years. He died in 1999.
