Prior to going overseas he was training wit the 184th Bn. CEF from Feb. to October 1916. He went overseas aboard the S.S. Empris of Britain departed 31/10/16 and arrived landed in England 11/11/16. TOS 23/11/16 at Shornecliff. 

11/04/17 taken to 32 Stat. Hospital at Wimereux for a GSW to his Right Hand. Transferred Conf Dept at Boulogne. 26/04/17 10 Con. Depot – Ecault. 27/08/17 Belgium. 

Unit 78 Cdn. Inf. Went to France 23/12/16. 2/09/17 was dangerously wounded in Action 2/09/17. Taken to No. 7 General Hospital St. Cmeans. 3/1/17 admitted to No. 7 General Hospital at St. Omed. He was overcome the fractured skull and DOW sadly Died of wounds 17/10/17.
