The son of Mr. H and Irene Tompkins of 2 Campbell Avenue, Chatham.

Andrew had enlisted in September 1943, received his traing at Fingal, St. Catherines and Guelph.

Posted for overseas duty October 1944. Served in India, Ceylon and the Bahamas. Was engaged in Supply Dropping. Promoted to the rank of Flying Officer. Received the Burma Star and the usual decorations.

The CDN 9/02/44 reported that Andrew had been at his home on a weekend leave before returning to RCAF-Guelph.

The CDN 6/03/45 reported that P/O. Robinson had arrived overseas as reinforcement.
