Private J. Ross Robertson took the Officers’ Training Course at Toronto University.
Private J. Ross Robertson crossed to England in November 1916, proceeding to France in February 1917, serving with the 5th Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops, as Motor Transport Driver, until December 1917, when he returned to England and transferred to the Royal Naval Air Service as Lieutenant. He crossed to France attached to the 204th Squadron, and was wounded severely August 15th, 1918, in the left knee, being admitted to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Dunkirk, France. He returned to England Sept 13th 1918 and to Canada Nov 5th 1918.
Demobilized and placed on unemployed list R.A.F. March 12th 1919.
