Unit # RCR – No. 2 Coy.

Michael enlisted with the RCR in 1940. He was serving in England in April of 1942 and was scheduled to be on CBC Radio on May 1st giving greetings from overseas. CDN 29/04/42; besdes England he served in Italy and Holland.   Reported returning from overseas on board the S. S. “New Amsterdam” part of a contingent of RCR members. CDN 25/09/45, 26/09/45.

Michael married Mary Ellan (nee Compton) and they two children Ray and Rose.  He was employed by the CP Railway where he worked for thirty-six and one half years before retiring. Michael passed away at the age of 94 years, on Friday, 8 December, 2012 in Chatham, ON.
