Private John W. Ritchie left London for overseas January 31st,1918, and after training at Bramshott and Witley Camps, proceeded to France drafted to the 18th Battalion. October 12th, 1918, he received wounds and was admitted to the 55th General Hospital, Boulogne, France and from there to England where he remained until April 1919 when he returned to Canada.
Discharged at London May 12th 1919 due to demobilization.
