Pte. James A. Risley went overseas with the 70th Battalion in March, 1916, and was transferred at Seaford, England, to the Canadian Army Service Corps as Corporal of the Bakery Section. Crossed to France Sept 1918 with 3rd Field Bakery, left France April 1st 1919. Sailed for Canada May 1919.

Discharged May 24th 1919 due to demobilization.
