The son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ripley. The husband of Betty Doreen (nee Smith).They married at the Chatham Baptist Church, Chatham, reported in the CDN 10/10/44. After the wedding the couple left for points west. The bride would make her home at her parents when Floyd returned to Camp Borden.

Previous Military Experience: Trained with the 2nd Kent Regiment

After enlistment, Trooper Ripley trained and served in Canada at Listowel, Stratford, Camp Borden, Hamilton, Windsor and stationed at Camp Borden again.

Date of Discharge: February 2, 1946
