The son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ricica of the 15th Concession, Chatham Twsp. The brother of Pte. Frank (A49649). Martin was educated in Tupperville, Kent Co. He moved to Windsor for a time, famed for a time with his parents and brother Frank near Dresden and in Chatham Twsp.
A going away ‘social’ was held in the I.O.O.F hall in Tupperville in September 1943 beside a fine dinner Martin was presented with a gold signet ring and a purse of money and the best wisheds of family and friends as he goes off to the Army. WN 16/09/43.
