A single farmer and machinist living in Big Springs, Alberta. Attested: 9/06/1915 at Calgary, Alberta, to the 1st Alberta Regt. Cdn. Engineers. Medical 9/06/1918. Scar on top of Rt. Foot a cut from a knife 1892, Age: 33 yrs. 5 mths. Girth: 38”, Comp: Fair, Eyes: Brown, Hair: Brown. At Calgary Alb. 9/06/18.

Embarked Canada 10/08/18. Debarked England 25/08/18. TOS at Bramshott 26/08/18.

27/12/18 granted leave with warrant.  4/06/19 SOS. To Southampton 13/06/19, Debark Halifax NS. 20/06/19.  

Arrived in England 25/08/18, SOS to Canada 13/06/19. Medical: 16/05/19. Demobilization from 21st Cdn. Res. Batt – Alberta. Discharged 23/06/1919 

Henry also served in WWII, probably lied about his age. He was living in 1965 in Carleton, ON. The family had no other information on Henry. Goldie Hawes (family), LAC. Henry Served with the Veteran’s Guard of Canada in WWII.
