The son of Mrs.W. F. Reynolds of Turin. He received his education around Turin and was known as a fine athlete. James was from R. R. #3 Ridgetown. He had enlisted in December of 1941 at Chatham, was later transferred to Red Deer AB. and went overseas in April 1942. He was married in June of 1943 to ACW Eveline Miller Newton of England, they had one daughter Patricia Anne. He also had four sisters and two brothers.

DOAI. Date of Death: 12/07/1944 ; as a result of a motor vehicle accident, the vehicle left the road and struck a bridge in England.

Name discovered in the Ogletree Cemetery, in Howard Twsp., County of Kent, ON at 13486 McKay Line (aka lot 16 cons. 5) in the community of Selton, reported by John Skakel (CK Cemeteries Project). In the cemetery on the stone of William F. and Martha Reynolds is a foot-note “Pte. James E. 1918 – 1944”.

The CDN 28/03/45 reported that his widow and daughter Patricia had arrived in Ridgetown
