Private Roy Reid left Chatham October 24th, 1915, for London, proceeding to Guelph, thence to Quebec, leaving for overseas December 11th, 1915. After training in England he crossed into France March 4th, 1916. He was attached to 2nd Pioneers and was through all engagements until Armistice. Private Reid was with Army of Occupation remaining in Germany until middle of Jan 1919. Was never wounded or sick. Returned to England April 12th 1919 and to Canada in May.
Discharged at London May 29, 1919 due to demobilization.
