Letter From the Front
Mrs. Vital Yarvice received the following letter from her brother John Reaume who is in France.
23 October, 1917.
Dear Sister —
I will take the pleasure in answering your most welcome letter which I received last night. I was glad to hear you were still all well. I am in the best of healt and hope these few lines will find you the same. I received a letter from Alf the other day, he is still in England, but was expecting to leave for Canada any day, so he may be there by the time you receive this letter. We are having very bad weather just at present it is raining every day and it makes it pretty bad for us. I haven’t seen Jean lately as he is not in my company he’s with the 4th CMRand I heard today that he was in the hospital with trench fever, so if he is I will not see him for awhile. I am looking for that parcel every day as I expect to get it soon now. I am expecting my leave to England pretty soon now and will try to send you some souvenirs.
Your loving brother.
Jack
