Private D.G.H. Rawlings, was promoted to Corporal and later to Sergeant with the 91st Battalion. He was transferred to 186th Batt. in February 1916, and was promoted to C.Q,M.S., going overseas March 26th 1917.
After further training in Bramshott, he reverted to Private and crossed into France August 24th, 1917 attached to 18th Battalion. Due to sickness, he became a casualty October 21st, 1917. Upon recovery he joined the 2nd C.M.G. Battalion February 13th, 1918. He received a shrapnel wound in right arm April 25th, 1918 at Telegraph Hill. He later joined the Corps Machine Gunners July 1918 and served with them until discharged August 25, 1919.
