Attestation: 21/02/1916 in Ridgetown to the 186th Bn.

Date of Service 25/08/17. Last address: 52 Degge St. , Chatham, ON.    

Embarked Canada from Halifax 25/03/17. Debarked at Liverpool, England . TOS. AT BRAMSHOTT 7/04/17. 27/08/17 4TH Cdn. Res. – Joined to 18TH BN. In Field 8/09/17.     

Unit: 18th Bn. Can. Inf. – Theatre of War: France. Date of Service: 25/08/17 his last address was 52 Degge St.. Margaret would move to 186 Murray St., Chatham, ON. Margaret moved to 154 Murray St. Chatham. It may be having more room for herself and four children Hughie (9), George (8) Raymond (4) William (2).  

Pte. Randall departed from Halifax aboard the S.S. Lapland 28/03/17. TOS from 186th Bn. 2/02/16 to 1/04/17 when departed O/S 28/03/17.

Taken to #44 Cas. Clg Station 11/11/17. 13/11/17 to No. 1 South Afr. General at Abbevlle. GSW to right Knee.  17/11/17 Karl was admitted to No. 44, Cas. Clearing Station. 11th received a GSW to the Knee 5.01/18. Whitecross Mil. Hosp. , Warrington. GSW to right knee and trench foot was satisfactory.        Overseas 28/03/17, age 28 yrs. He had contracted “Trench Feet” an was admitted 20/03/18 at Lord Derby –Warrineton. Disc. 19/04/18 at Bramshot.   

Service home 2yrs. in field 4/12.  21/03/18 Mil. Connt. N. Cote Epot, see his trench and Knee and feet were still painful, worse in the morning. 9/04/18 feet was fit for training. 

Discharged from service un France w/18th Bn 

Randle Pte. Carl was reported visiting his mother in the Bothwell Times of 15/03/17.

Date of death: according information from Veterans Affairs  Date of Death 27/06/71.
