History After Enlistment… Overseas twenty-two months in Pacific Theatre. Served in First Invasion of Leyte and battle of Luzon and Ima Gima. Served in whole invasion of Okinawa. Promoted to Navigation Officer.

The CDN 25/05/44 reported he was at the Great Lakes US Naval school was visiting his parents in Chatham. CDN 15/05/44.

The CDN 20/09/44 reported that Able Seaman Pugh had returned to the training school at Great Lakes, Illinois after a furlough with his parents in Chatham.

Date of Discharge… May 20th 1946
