Married to his wife Evelyn (nee Van Horne) was living at 61 ½ King St. West, Chatham, ON. Prior to enlisting Frank was a linotype operator for the Chatham Daily News. CDN 23/01/45.

Frank trained in Petewawa, for two and a half he had been serving with artillery regiment on the west coast since 1943. He went overseas with the Royal Canadian Regiment it was reported that Evelyn had received a letter from her husband that he had arrived overseas. Served in England.
