Son of Arthur and Anna Pratt, of  346 St. Clair Street, Chatham, Ontario.  He had six sisters Mrs. Wilfred Hunter, Mrs. Don Taylor, Mrs. Gordon Almasm, Marjorie, Ethel  of Chatham Prior to his enlistment  he was a student at CVS school.   Edwin enlisted in August 1943. He trained at Camp Shilo, MB. He went overseas in March 1944 and to the European theatre in August.   

Regiment: Royal Canadian Artillery No1 Canadian Rocket unit, then serving in France.  

Age: 20, DOAI – Date of Death: 27/01/1945, explosion of his own gun in Holland.

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead, Grave/Memorial Reference: 9. E. 7.

Cemetery: BERGEN-OP-ZOOM CANADIAN WAR CEMETERY.
