Born in Chatham, ON. 17/04/1919, the son of Ernest and Alice R. Praill. Married to Irene from Brighton, England, who was living at 19 Delaware Ave., Chatham. Ralph enlisted in September of 1939 with the RCR.
Ralph served for four years and three months overseas with the 1st Canadian Division in England and then Sicily and southern Italy.
Age 22, KIA – Date of Death: 19/12/1943, in Italy. Ralph was killed in the battle for the Gully (18-19 Dec. 43) leading up to the Battle of Ortono which took place 20 – 28 Dec. 1943.
