Of R. R. # 5 Wallaceburg, ON. Felix the son of Mrs. G. Poissant of Wallaceburg. He enlisted in the RCAF in 1942.
He enlisted in the RCAF in 1942. The Wallaceburg News reported that LAC. Poissant was stationed at RCAF-Winnipeg when granted a 14 day.
The Wallaceburg News reported that he was stationed at 160 Squadron, at Yarmouth, NS. The WN 10/02/44 reported that Sgt. Poissant, still stationed at Yarmouth, NS., was spending his 14 day furlough with his mother in Wallaceburg.
He had spent more than eighteen months overseas before arriving back in Wallaceburg on the 23rd of August, 1945 on “thirty days leave”. He was reported sailing on the troopship the “Duchess of Richmond 19th of August, 1945. From there he proceeded to No. 1 Repatriation Depot in Lachine to receive leave. CDN 18/0845.
