Born in 1926, the son of Ray William and Martha (Taylor) Pickering. The brother of Martha Jean (Schneikart), Duncan and Stewart William. The husband Of Bertha J. (nee Benoit), the father of Bonnie (Normanfen, Roy and Duncan. 

Elmer passed away 7 October. 1990 at the age of 64 years old. Internment at Maple Leaf Cemetery – Tilbury.
