Training at No.12 BTC. In Chatham, ON. in April of 1941 he was given a week-end furlough for Easter to visit his home in Tilbury. He was still at BTC 12 when he was again on leave in May. TT 15/05/41. In July of 1941, he was assigned to the Corps of Military Staff Clerks (CMSC). TT 16/07/41. Preparing for his transfer to Halifax, NS. Duncan was on a few days leave to visit his parents. TT 31/07/41. Duncan was on a twenty day furlough in December of 1941 to visit with his parents. TT 18/12/41.
