The son of Mrs. Margaret Peters of Wallaceburg, The WN 11/03/43 reported that William confined to hospital in London, ON. He had been training at Camp Ipperwash when he came down with arthritis and he had been in hospital for three weeks.

He had been presented with a Testament from the Sunday school at the Free Methodist Church of Charlemont., a money belt, fountain pen and pencgil and a Rondon lighter. 

The WN 23/03/44 reported that L/Cpl. Peters was serving on ‘active duty’.The Wallaceburg News reported that Cpl. Peters was serving in Italy with 1st Cdn. Pioneer Coy. William was reported returning in December of 1945.

The CDN 28/12/45 reported that he returned to Canada aboard the S. S. Queen Elizabeth. Next of Kin: Mrs. M. Peters, 120 Blake St., Wallaceburg, ON.

Served overseas returning in December of 1945.

William passed away 18 May, 2002 at the age of 80 years of age.
