Born in Sombra Twsp. Lambton, Co., ON. in 1922,  the son of Elgie and Violet (nee Farslow) of Tupperville, ON.

The husband of Isabel M. (nee Wright) the father of Ann (Park), Gay (Myers) and Gary.

Walter enlisted in the army 6/10/1943 and served in Canada and Great Briton he was discharged in January of 1946.  The Wallaceburg News reported that Walter was at A.20 RCASC stationed at Red Deer, AB. WN-date unknown.  

After the war Walter worked at Lindsay Tile & Brick and Watson Ready Mix. He was a member of Zion United Church and the I.O.O.F. Lodge in Tupperville.

Walter passed away Tuesday, 17 September, 2013 at Fairfield Park Nursing Home, Wallaceburg. Internment in Dresden Cemetery.
