Son of Mr. George and Rose Peltier, of Jeannettes Creek, Ontario. Arthur who was born at Jeanette’s Creek. Arthur was educated at Jeanette’s Creek public School and managed the family farm before enlisting. Besides his mother he was survived by two brothers Leonard and Glen and two sisters Joan of Windsor and Joyce at home.
He enlisted in London, ON. in May of 1944, trained at No. 12 B.T.C., Chatham and at Ipperwash where earned the championship boxing title and his marksman rating before going to Nova Scotia. He arrived at the front in November of 1944. It was reported in the CDN 15/03/45 that her son was officially reported as being killed in action while serving in Holland.
