Private Pegg trained with the 186th battalion in Canada until Mar. 22, 1917, when he left Chatham for overseas, embarking on the Lapland.
After training at Bramshott, he proceeded to France in Aug. 1917, attached to the 18th battalion.
He was reported Missing after the Battle of Passchendaele Nov 12, 1917, and later reported died in a German Prison Camp on Nov. 19, 1917.
