At the age of 23 yrs. Kenneth was admitted to the Military Hospital 14/02/16 for Gonorrhea and was discharged 15/09/16. 12/09/16 Military, VDG. Discharged 9/11/16. Again admitted to Cherryhinton Hospital 15/09/16 again for VDG and discharged 9/11/16.
Pte. Parker sailed from Halifax aboard the S.S. Lapland. 24/04/16. Disembarked at Liverpool, England 5/05/16 Date of Service 22/03/17 arrived in the field 31/03/17.
Pte. Kenneth Lee Parker was reported KIA 11/04/17 – Rouen, France.

A memorial service was held in the Bothwell Town Hall, “The auditorium was packed to its utmost capacity”, the service conducted by Rev. R. J. Kain. “The death of Pte. Kenneth Parker is universally regretted in this community where he was born and spent the greater portion of his life (he was 22 years old) and the flag has been at half mast for several days” Reported the front page of the Bothwell Times of 3rd May, 1917. A wife and child, mother and father and two sisters to mourn his passing.
