The son of Mr. and Mrs. John O’Rourke of Raleigh Twsp. Carl enlisted in September and went on active service in October of the same year. Carl was reported stationed at HMCS Cornwallis, Halifax, NS. He was a Steward on a fourteen–day leave at his home. He returned to duty in the Eastern Canadian sector.  

In March of 1944 Carl was reported visiting his family in Chatham.

Carl passed away 7/01/2002.
