Father of Audrey Heaton NURSE, served overseas with the W.C.N.S. as a Nurse. Served at the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

Previous Military Experience: Veteran of World War 1. Toronto A.T.C. (1915 OR 16) and overseas until 1919. Organized the 1st Div. Signals.

After Enlistment, he served in London, Ont.

Date of Discharge: September 1942

 Col. 1st Div. Signals. 

The CDN  15/04/44 reported that Col. Nurse had resigned from his position as officer commanding the Chatham Air Cadets.

He had been the principal of the Central School and he had organized the Air Cadets in September of 1943. He was also connected to the CCI and CVS cadets prior to taking over the Air Cadets 

His military service covered a total of 30 years.
