Previous Military Experience: Served with the Kent Regiment (M.G.).  He joined the Kent Regiment in July 1940 which lasted three months when it was discovered he was underage at 17 years.  He was discharged for the time being.  He was recalled by the Canadian Army and re-entered the army at St. Luke’s Barracks at Windsor, Ontario in 1943

After enlisting Louis Nicholson transferred from the Kent Regiment to the R.C.A.M.C.  He served at Camp Ipperwash, Wolsley Barracks, London and at Chatham.

Date of Discharge: September 1st, 1945.  During his time in the army he contracted Rheumatic Fever and spent several months in a military hospital recovering.

Louis passed away 18/04/03
