Pte. Bert H. Nichols went overseas with the 186th Battalion in March 1917, and after training at Bramshott, proceeded to France November 16th, 1917.

Departed 25/03/17 arrived in England = 7/04/17 aboard S.S. Lapland. 20/04/17 to the 4th Res. from Canada at Bramshott 20/04/17. Wounded – 22/04/18 – 13/05/1919.     

Taken to No. 4 Cdn. Gen. Hospital – GSW to Left Thigh (SW) admitted 17/04/18 from HS St. Patrick hospital trans: 5/07/18. MCH – EPSON in the FIELD, 12/05/18 wound improving  at Basingstoke, England. 4 Can. Hosp. 18/04/18, 

GSW – Thigh: 24/05/19  – Epson. Discharged 9/08/18. Casualty Form – 24/05/1919 – D. O. 148 – GSW Left Thigh – and shrapnel wound.

13/05/1919 to Canada. 13/05/19 to 15/05/19 (60-K) – 27/09/18 3nd. ECD. Having arrived from England 18/0718. Canadians embarked from England – sailing from Liverpool 14/05/1919. Proceeding on Discharge:- 24/05/1919 at London, ON. 24 May, 1919.

DECEASED: 12/09/1959.
